If you’re an owner of the popular MacBook, you’ll probably know that one of the biggest complaints is that it does not have enough ports. This has left many owners looking for a good quality USB C HUB to plug that gap and give their machine the functionality and connectivity that it deserves. We have had a look at a number of these hubs and while some are pretty good, we have yet to find one that provides as much as what the QacQoc GN30H does and is built to as high quality. This short review will take you through the features, benefits, and qualities that we feel make the QacQoc an excellent choice of USB hub for your MacBook.
Having tested the device extensively ourselves and having used and tested many of its direct competitors, we feel that we can provide an authoritative and honest review that we will stand by. Anyhow, read on and discover exactly what we think about the impressive GN30H.

Without doubt, the number of functional ports that can be found on the GN30H is the biggest pro to this USB C-HUB. The fact that you can simultaneously connect to the internet via Ethernet, to HD devices such as your television via HDMI, and the extra USB ports and SD card slots, makes this among the best hubs on the market right now. All of this can be done while your MacBook is charging as well, giving an extra benefit to using the QacQoc.
Additionally, with each port providing a stable connection and high-speed transfer rates, you have a C-HUB that not only provides functionality but also high performance as well. Furthermore, with the QacQoc being very easy to setup and use, very small and compact, and light in the hand, it makes it an excellent companion to bring with you on your travels. Just to top things up, the GN30H can be bought in the same color as your MacBook and even comes with a 1-year warranty in case you have problems.
All in all, there are tons of pros for this device with those above just being the most impressive of many others.
There have been complaints of earlier models where the USB Hub can get a little on the hot side when running. However, the manufacturers themselves have spoken about this and have put to rest any safety concerns in that regard. They admitted that the device can get quite warm but claimed that rather than insulating the device and therefore trapping the heat inside, they let the heat radiate to the outside. They claim that this will prevent overheating and will ensure that the device has a long life. Despite making it clear the device is perfectly safe, QacQoc have made changes in later models (including this one) to greatly improve their heat radiating system. They did also offer a full reimbursement to customers that were worried about the heat of the device when running.
Other than that slight concern, there are no cons of note with this USB C HUB that we found with our testing or through reading reviews of others that have bought and used the QacQoc. With a 1-year warranty either way, you’re more than covered if any issues do come up.
The MacBook is known to have very few ports, something that most consider to be a design fault of the product. However, it was actually designed to concentrate mainly on providing wireless technologies such as WiFi and Bluetooth. Despite this, many of you simply want to have the ability to connect devices via other methods. Whether you want to connect via USB, SD card slots or HDMI and Ethernet, the GN30H allows you to do so effortlessly. There are a number of similar hubs on the market but none offer up the amount of ports that the GN30H does or the amount of features and benefits. In particular, any USB C HUB that you find other than the QacQoc is unlikely to offer Ethernet and HDMI connectivity. Combine all of that functionality with good quality of build and a 1-year warranty and you have yourself an excellent product.
All in all, if you’re looking for a good quality USB hub for your MacBook that provides you with all the functionality that you need, the QacQoc GN30H in our opinion, is up there with the very best on the market right now.
